National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association is a membership association of professional funeral directors and morticians and embalmers, whose members and members-at-large are also members of state associations of funeral directors, morticians and embalmers dedicated to promoting the common professional and business interests of its members.
Casket & Funeral Supply Association Of America
The Casket & Funeral Supply Association of America is proud to represent the interests of member suppliers to licensed funeral homes and licensed funeral directors. The Association’s objective is to provide useful information and perspectives on the funeral and the funeral supply industry to support manufacturers and suppliers of funeral goods/services.
Independent Advantage
Independent Advantage is the largest association of independent casket companies in North America. Maryland State Funeral Directors Association
The MSFDA mission is to assist members in furthering their funeral service knowledge through continuing education; facilitate professional networking and relationships; respond to consumer questions regarding arranging and prearranging funerals, cremation/burial options; encourage and enable members to provide a dignified ethical service when loved ones have been entrusted in their care; and ensure the safety and protection of our communities by caring for the living and being the voice for positive legislative and public advocacy.
Kentucky Funeral Directors Association
The Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky mission is to promote high professional ideals and strong public service. In 1947, after years of effort to establish a fiscally sound burial insurance plan, the Kentucky Funeral Directors Burial Association was formed. Today the Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky works with the KFDBA to provide service to Kentuckians while also representing the common interests of its members.
Mississippi Funeral Directors Association
The Mississippi Funeral Directors Association was formed to promote the advancement of funeral service through education, leadership, advocacy and dedication to our membership and the families we serve. MFDA offers members access to Preferred Vendors to help them concentrate on what they do best – serving families.
Michigan Funeral Directors Association
Founded in 1880, the Michigan Funeral Directors Association is the nation’s oldest organization of funeral professionals. MFDA currently represents roughly 1300 funeral directors serving 650 funeral homes statewide, representing over three-quarters of all mortuary science licensees in Michigan. All MFDA members agree to adhere to a strict Code of Ethics, which is enforced by a Committee on Consumer Protection, Grievance & Ethics.
Independent Funeral Homes Of Virginia
Members of the Association of Independent Funeral Homes of Virginia (IFHV) share a true commitment to serving families in their community but also in being part of the community they serve. Indiana Funeral Directors Association
The Indiana Funeral Director’s Association was founded in 1880 by 47 charter members. Today IFDA has grown to over 480 member firms. Headquartered in Indianapolis, IFDA provides membership services and continuing education opportunities throughout the state. It’s your assurance that your funeral director takes your satisfaction seriously and will work hard to see that every aspect of the funeral service is provided in an ethical and professional manner.

The Virginia Funeral Directors Association met for the first time on September 20, 1887, in Richmond, Virginia. The Virginia Funeral Directors Association aims to be the most trusted resource for funeral service providers and communities in Virginia. We strive to bring innovation to the industry, provide solutions to critical issues when needed, and demonstrate unparalleled professionalism when serving grieving families and the loved ones they trust in our care.
Virginia Mortician's Association
At the invitation of Thomas H. Brown of Petersburg, Virginia, an organizing meeting for a black funeral directors group convened on October 24, 1928, at Brown Funeral Home in Petersburg, Virginia. The meeting was called to order and C.V. Wilson of Lynchburg was appointed chairman and J.T. Fisher of Portsmouth appointed secretary. At this organizing meeting, Mr. Brown outlined his plans and objectives for the organization, which were accepted and approved by the attendees.
Georgia Funeral Service Practitioners Association
In the year of 1925, Mr. Robert R. Reed, the organizer of the National Negro Funeral Directors Association, visited the State of Georgia with the idea of organizing the Negro funeral homes of Georgia into a state association. And thus having the State Association become a part of the National Association. The original name of the Association was The Georgia Colored Funeral Directors and Embalmers Association. In 1939 the name was changed to the present name - The Georgia Funeral Service Practitioners Association.
