Bella was rescued by Sara Thacker on September 9, 2017. She made her way to Maryland as part of a rescue effort after Hurricane Harvey. Rescuers brought up 175 dogs and she was one of the last dogs left, as she had heartworm, and finding an adopter proved to be difficult. 

Sara took one look at her and knew that she was going to be the one to give her a loving, forever home. She started coming to work with Sara because she was receiving her heartworm treatments right down the road from the office but it didn’t take long for Bella to become part of the office family and she still comes to work with Sara every day!
